Steven Carson Erickson passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 4, 2025 surrounded by his loved ones at the Utah Valley Hospital in Provo. Born on January 14, 1946 in Lehi, Steven was the youngest of four children born to Norman Erickson and Myrtle Leona Erickson. He developed an appreciation of family early in his life. Growing up in the small town of Fairfield taught Steven the value of hard work. He graduated from Lehi High School and continued his education at Utah Valley State College, where he earned a Mechanics degree.

He married his high school sweetheart, Lucille Street on July 16th, 1965. Together they shared 60 wonderful years of marriage and raised two children, Kim and Tish, in Cedar Fort. A natural leader, Steven worked at the Tooele Army Depot as a Chemical Operations Branch Chief for 40 years.

Steven devoted many years of his life serving his family, friends, co-workers, neighbors and the Cedar Fort community. He served as the Cedar Fort Fire Chief for 13 years. Alongside Lucille, they were honored as the Grand Marshals of Cedar Fort in 2017.

Steven was always willing to help anyone in need. He had a golden gift of seeing the strength of good in others and made a lasting impact on everyone he met. Anyone who entered his home was greeted with a firm handshake, joking remarks and "Don't tailgate" upon leaving. He was witty and maintained his unmatched sense of humor until his final days. In his late years, he was lovingly cared for by his sweetheart Lucille.

One of Steven's greatest joys was spending time with his family -especially his grandchildren. He was a constant in their lives and taught them many life lessons. He supported his children in their passions such as rodeos, 4-H and hunting. Steven dedicated his life to his grandchildren. Introducing them to his many hobbies and adventures including four-wheeling, camping, hunting, craw-dad fishing, horseback riding and annual water fights from his infamous big red dodge truck. He loved his dogs, especially Brody and Rusty, and enjoyed camping and riding his horses in West Canyon, Ophir and Scofield.

Steven is survived by his wife Lucille Erickson; daughter Tish (Tom) Lund; and Granddaughters McKaylee (DJ) Tolman; Whitney (Anton) Thomas; Marissa (Matt) Critchlow; BreAnn Erickson; Mckenna (Caymon) Martinez; and great grandchild Alice Thomas. Step Grandsons TJ (Lexy) Lund and Jayden (Izzy) Lund. Preceded in death by his son Kim Erickson.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the doctors, nurses, nursing assistants and staff at Utah Valley Hospital for their compassionate care in Steven's final days.
