Steven James Gilheany, 30, of Pearl River, NY, passed away unexpectedly at his home on April 15, 2025.
Born in Newburgh, NY, Steven was the beloved son of James Gilheany and the late Jody (Lopez) Gilheany, and the younger brother of Danny Gilheany. He graduated from Pearl River High School in 2012, where he was a proud member of the varsity basketball team. Steven later earned his bachelor's degree in History from SUNY Oneonta.
Steven was known for his quick wit and infectious sense of humor - always the funny kid in the room. A lifelong Yankees fan and a devoted watcher of Batman movies, he had a passion for sports, stories, and his dear friends.
He is survived by his father James, brother Dan, grandmother Eileen Duffy, and a loving extended family: Aunt Susan, Uncle Emmy, Aunt Ellen, Uncle Frankie, Aunt Nancy Gilheany Mckiernan and seven cousins - Lyndsay, Risa, Conrad, Frank Jr., Michael, Joseph, Jenna, Kevin and Shannon. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
