Steven Ha Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on May 22, 2024.
May 9, 2024 Our community sadly lost a dear friend on May 09, 2024. Steven K. Ha passed away at home in Anchorage at the age of 47. He was born January 25, 1977, to Henry and Suzy Ha in Guam. Steven and his family moved to Anchorage when he was a young boy where he spent the remainder of his life.

Steven was a fun-loving man who spent his days engaging with friends at the Arc of Anchorage and Cindy and Vic's R&R, where he received support services for over 25 years. Some of Steven's passions included collecting miniature cars, airplanes, plastic army men, movies and more. Steven also loved to go to Point Woronzof where he watched planes take off and land in "real time." Steven could identify incoming and outgoing planes from miles away with amazing precision.

Some of his favorite activities included Music in the Park, sledding, bowling, and attending dances with his long-time girlfriend Axenia. Steven most loved hanging out with his friends. Each day he made a special point to greet and say goodbye to each person, sharing a smile and fist bump. We will miss Steven's warm smile, peace signs, and the celebrity nicknames he gave to special friends. His legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of everyone he interacted with.

Steven is survived by his Supported Living "House Dad", Neil, his long time "Support Moms" Vicki and Cindy, his best buddy, Bobby, his longtime girlfriend Axenia, and MANY friends, and support staff. Steven was preceded in death by his parents Suzy and Henry Ha.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at the Arc of Anchorage gymnasium on May 30th from 6 p.m.- 8 p.m. You can help and support Steven's generous heart by donating in his name to the Arc of Anchorage.
