Steven was born on Mach 6, 1954 in Dallas, Texas, to the late Alton and Susie Hemphill. Steven proudly served his country in the US Army for four years as a Radio Technician. He was a musician who particularly enjoyed playing his guitar and a person of deep faith. Steven enjoyed fishing and spending time on his pontoon boat. Additionally, he enjoyed building and fixing things. Steven was a giving and loving care giver for his beloved mother-in-law. Steve will be loved and missed by all his friends.
Steven is survived by his wife, Kathy Gavlak Arnold; his children, Erin Holmes, Ryan Hemphill, and Stephanie Uhler; his 2 grandsons; and by his sister, Juanita Smith.
In addition to his parents, Steven was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.
