Steven Houk Obituary
Steven was born on August 17, 1966 in Independence, MO, the son of Virgil Dennis "Buddy" Houk and Dorothy Lucille (Lampton) Houk.
Steven grew up in Raytown, MO and attended Raytown High School. He had a lifelong love of music and, in his twenties, he moved to Nashville, TN with the dream of becoming a professional musician. While living in Tennessee, he worked as a cook at the Opryland Hotel. Eventually, he returned to Missouri and settled down in Clinton where he worked at Cook Tractor Parts. Through Cook's, he met many coworkers and friends that became his family. He will be missed by many.
Steven was preceded in death by his parents as well as his brother Shannon Houk.
He is survived by his sister Sherri Downs; his daughters Bayley Houk-Watskey and Stevie Houk-Watskey; his son Jason Houk; his fiancée Krystal Thoene; as well as a large number of extended family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 14, 2022 at Sweeney-Phillips & Holdren Funeral Home in Warrensburg, MO.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Steven Houk Memorial Fund with checks made payable to Krystal Thoene.
