Steven R.J Hunt

Ashford, CT-Steven R. J. Hunt, 59, passed away unexpectedly, May 30, 2024 at his home. Steven was born in Plymouth, MA, March 31, 1965 to the late Homer A. Hunt and Theresa C.(Vieira) Hunt Rheaume. Steven served in the National Guard for two years and has worked at Automatic Rolls of New England in Dayville, CT for over 20 years. Steven's passion was as a gentleman farmer. He has taken care of cows since his late teens and at one point tended to 60 cows. He enjoyed being outdoors and looking for the lesser known fishing holes and casting a line. He enjoyed spending time with family and had a special bond with his nephew Joseph.
Steven was predeceased by his parents. He leaves his sister Jane Maudsley and her husband Robert of Holland, MA; a brother, Richard A. Hunt II and his wife Andrea of Simsbury, CT; and his sister, Loretta J Hunt of Ashford, CT, as well as several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Services have been entrusted to Lombard Funeral Home of Monson, MA. Visitation will be Thursday morning June 6, 2024 from 9:30- 11am at the funeral home with a funeral home service to begin at 11am. Burial will follow at Wales#4 Cemetery on Laurel Hill Rd in Wales.
