Steven R. Jenkins
63, of Mooresville, passed away on September 16, 2021 at home after a courageous battle with cancer. Steven was born on November 11, 1957 in Indianapolis, IN to the late Beverly (Wentworth) and Wilmer D. Jenkins.
Steve proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. On October 30, 1975, he married the love of his life, Betty "Becky" (Powell), who preceded him in death in 2015. Steve worked as a self-employed contractor and hydraulic mechanic for many years, but was a Jack of All Trades, who could fix just about anything. He was a member of Valley Mills Christian Church in Decatur Township. He loved to spend time with his family, fishing, camping, riding his motorcycle, drinking Coca Cola, eating popcorn, and traveling with Becky to Las Vegas and other gaming locations. He will be remembered as a generous man who enjoyed joking around and was a friend to all.
Survivors include his daughter, Becca Jenkins; sons, Steven R. Jenkins, II, Michael Jones; two brothers, Ricky Jenkins, Ron Jenkins; sisters Donna Jenkins, Tammy Pitrelli, Lucy Moore, and four grandchildren, Brandon Cashen, Steven K. Jenkins, Jaylin Jenkins, and Xander Jenkins.
Family and friends will gather for Steven's Life Celebration™ visitation on Thursday, Sept. 23rd from 4-8pm at Carlisle Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville. Services will be held on Friday Sept. 24th at 10am in the funeral home. Entombment will follow the services in Floral Park Cemetery.
