Steve Johnson, proud Army veteran, passed away Sunday, April 7, 2024. Steve was born on August 16, 1947 to the late Edward and Evelyn (Colyer) Johnson. After serving in the First Infantry, Steve achieved a master's degree in engineering at The Ohio State University and then went on to work as an Director of Engineering for several large corporations. He also enjoyed running a motorsports photography business and traveling with his son. Steve was a dedicated father to Mark (Erica) Johnson and grandfather to Jake and Paige Johnson. Steve and his loving wife Judith 'Judee' were committed to ensuring the success of their son and his family. He was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Judee (Rupnow); brother, David Johnson; brother-in-law, Michael Rupnow; and mother-in-law Kathleen Wallace. Steve is survived by his brother, Brian (Laura) Johnson; sister-in-laws Rita Johnson and Sue (Jack) Davis; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Private services and burial will be held at Miami Valley Memory Gardens in Centerville, OH. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Pelotonia cancer research charity [https://www.pelotonia.org/donate].

Steven was my cousin and although he and his brothers were older than me and my sjster they were always sweet and kind to us and we had lots of fun playing together while on vacations. He was a such a intelligent and nice person to talk to.
