Steven Carl Johnson, 74, died Wednesday morning, June 11 th, surrounded by his loving family.

The son of Norman and Dolores Johnson, Steve was born on April 11, 1951 in Elgin, Illinois as the youngest of three children.

He completed his undergraduate degree at Colorado State University and his doctorate degree in dental surgery at the University of Illinois at Chicago.

On November 12 th, 1995, he married Kimberly Johnson at Willow Creek Church in South Barrington, Illinois. In 2004, they moved to St. Charles and raised their two children as part of the Saint Charles community. Steve was an active member of the Willow Creek Church congregation and was a member of the Elgin Rotary for many years. He also held a dentistry practice in South Elgin.

Steve loved to play and watch golf in his free time, and even had a putting green in his home. Above all else, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Steve was a kind and gracious individual who always brought comfort and humor to those around him and was always willing to go the extra mile for his loved ones. He leaves a legacy of laughter, love, and dedication to all who knew him.

He was predeceased by his mother Dolores Johnson, father Norman Johnson, and brother Richard Johnson.

He is survived by his loving wife Kimberly, son Robert, daughter Kirstin, and sister Mary.

His memorial will be held at 4 P.M., Saturday, July 12 th at Yurs Funeral Home, 405 E Main St, St. Charles, IL 60174 (Corner of Rt. 64 and Rt. 25). Family and friends will gather for visitation from 2-6 P.M. at the Yurs Funeral Home.
