Steven “Keith” Ketner, 64, passed away on Thursday, May 8, 2025, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home.

Keith was born on March 18, 1961, in Forsyth Co. to C. L. and Peggy Ketner. He graduated from North Forsyth High School and was employed as a Tri-Seal Extruder Operator with TekniPlex for most of his career.

Keith was an avid Carolina Hurricanes and Thunderbird hockey fan. He also enjoyed building turkey shoot guns and attending turkey shoot events with friends.

Most of all, Keith cherished spending time with his family and enjoyed many camping trips together over the years. He loved being “Poppy” to his two granddaughters, Hailey and Savannah, and was a devoted husband and father.

Keith was preceded in death by his parents; and his sister, Kristi Butcher.

Surviving family includes his loving wife, Lynn Ketner; son, Brian Ketner and daughter-in-law, Emily Ketner; grandchildren, Hailey and Savannah; sister, Stephani; niece, Mikenzie; and nephew, Randy.

A graveside service will be held at 11:30 AM on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at Forsyth Memorial Park, with Pastor Josh Tufte officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the graveside service from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to NC American Heart Association, P.O. Box 840692, Dallas, TX 75284-0692, North Carolina | American Heart Association
