Steven Michael Keown, Indianapolis, IN, passed away on Monday May 6th, 2024, after being in and out of the hospital. He was 60 years old. Steve was born in Beech Grove, IN to his parents Gilbert J. and Gloria June Keown. He was born 4th out of 5 wonderful kids while growing up between Clinton IN and the south side of Indianapolis. He attended Emmerich Manuel High School. Steve spent most of his life running his own tree service company in Florida and Indiana. By the grace of God, he was able to fight off his addictions and started following Jesus Christ which allowed him to spend the last 10+ years of his life sober, and spending time with his daughters and grandchildren. He enjoyed cheering on the Colts during football season. He will be missed by many. Steve is survived by his two daughters, Haley Jaggers, Casey (John) Sufan; his grandchildren, Silas, Shyla, Skyler, John Paul, and Jonah; his brother Tim Keown; his nieces and nephews, Tammy, Amy, Pamela, Phillip, Tabitha, Wesley, Mike, and Gary. Steve is preceded in death by his parents; son in law, Clay Jaggers; his siblings, Terri Rivers, Harold Payne, and Janice Dexter; his niece Annette McGuire.
A memorial service will be held for Steve on Saturday, May 25, 2024 at 1 pm. The service will take place at Garfield Christian Church located at 1751 Walker Avenue Indianapolis, Indiana 46203.
