Steven Chase Lamb, a cherished father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on February 11, 2025, in Seale, Alabama, at the age of 72. Born in Cantonment, Florida, on May 14, 1952, to the late Cleveland Chase "CC" Lamb and Joann Commings Lamb, Steven was a beacon of strength and passion throughout his life.
After graduating from Escambia County High School, Steven dedicated his life to his craft as the owner and operator of Lamb & Sons Welding. His work not only showcased his exceptional skills but also his commitment to contributing to the community, which he did with unwavering dedication. Steven's professional life was marked by the same integrity and tenacity that he brought to every endeavor.
A man of many interests, Steven was most at home in the great outdoors. He was an avid fisherman and hunter, pursuits that brought him not just joy but also a profound sense of connection to nature. Those who knew him will remember Steven as a man whose hands were as skilled at repairing a broken engine as they were at casting a fishing line into the tranquil waters of his favorite fishing spots.
Steven was the embodiment of the words "handy" and "passionate." He approached every task with a can-do attitude and inspired others to embrace life with the same fervor. His infectious enthusiasm and ability to fix just about anything earned him the respect and admiration of all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Steven's legacy is carried on by his loving family, including his sons, Wesley Daniel Lamb and James Allen Lamb; his grandchildren, Kayleigh, Dana, Skylar, Jaiden, and Jaxon; his siblings, David Lamb, Doug Lamb, Sue Brown, Teresa Tipton, Robert Lamb, and Mary Mathews. He was preceded in death by his devoted parents, his cherished son Steven Chase "Stevie" Lamb II, and his father Cleveland Chase "CC" Lamb.
The void left by Steven's passing will be deeply felt by his family, friends, and all who had the honor of crossing paths with him. His life was a testament to the power of love, hard work, and perseverance, and his memory will continue to inspire those he left behind. As we bid farewell to Steven Chase Lamb, we celebrate the extraordinary life he lived and the countless ways in which he touched our hearts.
Steven's final days were spent surrounded by the natural beauty he so loved in Seale, Alabama, with the warmth and comfort of his family by his side. As we mourn his passing, we also take solace in the knowledge that his spirit will forever roam the woods and waters he cherished so deeply.
A life so beautifully lived deserves to be beautifully remembered. Steven Chase Lamb was a man who made an indelible mark on the world, and though he may have left us in body, his spirit remains an integral part of the tapestry of our lives. Rest in peace, dear Steven, until we meet again.
