Steven Michael Lauzonis, 55, of Jacksonville, FL, passed away on Friday January 17, 2025.
He leaves behind his devoted significant other, his sweetheart, Rachel C. Vaccaro and her boys that he loved as his own, Bryce and Riley, of Jacksonville, FL; His admired father, Michael J. Lauzonis, Jr., of Worcester, MA; His brother, James M. Lauzonis and his wife Tammy, of Auburn, MA; His nephew, James M. Lauzonis, Jr., also of Auburn, MA; and his niece, Elizabeth R. Lauzonis, of Cambridge, MA, both of whom he cherished. Steve also leaves his former spouse, Kelly Lauzonis, of Atlantic Beach, FL, many cousins, and his uncle, James E. McNamara. He was predeceased by his beloved mother, Janice M. "Jan" (McNamara) Lauzonis, in 2023; his loving brother, Michael J. Lauzonis, III, in 2019; and his aunt and mother's identical twin, Judith A. "Judy" McNamara, in 2020.
Steven was born in Panama City, FL on Tyndall Air Force Base in 1969, where his father was stationed at the time.
Steven grew up in Shrewsbury, MA and graduated from Shrewsbury High School in 1987. He started his professional career at Percy's Appliance in Worcester before moving to Poirer's Appliance in Norwood. He later transferred to First Coast Supply in Jacksonville.
When not working in Massachusetts, he enjoyed either watching or attending games of all the major Boston sports teams. Steve also enjoyed the occasional trips to the various casinos in the New England area with his parents and other family members. He loved live music and concerts, meeting bands, and being surrounded by an energized crowd of fellow music-lovers. Steve was outgoing, and could always make a friend, no matter where he was.
He was a hard worker, and always had a strong work ethic. Steve was very devoted to his family, which took priority in his life – he especially loved his niece and nephew, for whom he would always make the time to show up and celebrate their wins. Family events and reunions were some of his favorite gatherings. His family will forever cherish the time they had with Steve, and how his legacy will live on forever.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Jimmy Fund (https://www.jimmyfund.org/ways-to-give/).

Steve was a friend and co-worker for several years in high school and college. What a great friend! I was heartbroken by the news as Steve was such a genuinely nice person and always loyal to his friends and family. My fondest memories are of those people who treated you like a grown up and gave you respect when you were young. Steve was one of those people. My deepest condolences to all those who had the pleasure to meet Steve and especially to all his friends and family who he held dear. God Bless You. Bill Thompson & Family
