Steven M. Lawhun, 73, of Winchester, IN, passed away Wednesday, September 3, 2025, peacefully surrounded by loved ones at Pine Knoll Rehabilitation Center in Winchester, IN. He was born in Iberia, OH, on March 15, 1952, a son of the late James N. and Mary A. (Zornes) Lawhun. Steven attended Elgin High School and formerly worked in the construction and roofing industry. He was a member of the Winchester Moose Lodge #1977, a hardworking, loving and social man, who enjoyed the Indianapolis Colts, crafts, woodworking, carpentry, watching Western's, collecting NASCAR memorabilia, listening to Country Music, camping, hunting, and loved to dance. Steven is survived by 3 sons: Steven, Josh, and Michael Lawhun, 3 brothers: Eugene Lawhun (wife Telly), Tim Lawhun (wife Brenda), Lawrence Lawhun, 2 sisters: Maxine McFarland (husband Carl), and Kay Morrison (husband Cleve). He was preceded in death by his parents James and Mary Lawhun, 4 brothers: Everett, Sam, Bill and James Lawhun, and 2 sisters: Iona Bradburn, and Melvina Painter. Graveside services will be held in Hopewell Cemetery in Farmland, IN, on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at 12 PM with Pastor Jonathan Edwards officiating. Military honors will be presented by the Randolph County Veterans. A special thank you to the nurses and staff at Pine Knoll for their compassion and care throughout Steve's time there. Arrangements have been entrusted to MJS Mortuaries - Farmland Chapel.
