Steven Boyd Mccloud, 82 years old passed away on October 15th after a month long battle against a rare and aggressive T-cell lymphoma cancer. Steve is survived by Diane, his wife of 59 years, his son Sean and daughter Dana, granddaughter Marlee and nephew Mark and nieces Leslie and Kristen from his sister Sandra.
Steve was born in Bremerton, WA under the darkness of necessary blackouts on December 10, 1941, three days after the attack on Pearl Harbor. He attended East Bremerton HS and then went on to graduate from Washington State University. He enlisted after ROTC into the Air Force where he served 5.5 years as a trainer of new pilots for the 3526th Pilot Training Squad flying T-37 and T-38 aircraft. After an honorable discharge as a Captain 0-3, he went on to work in aircraft sales while obtaining his Certified Public Accounting degree from Arizona State University. He was a CPA for the rest of his professional life, working for several companies, co-owning a construction company and finally his own accounting firm until retirement.
Steve was an avid lover of golf, fishing, travel and spending time with his family. He dedicated personal time to the board of Bridge Ministries, organizing golf tournaments for his local VFW.
Steve's interment will be at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, WA. Information regarding the location, date and time for a Memorial service will be provided in the near future.
