Steven Thomas O'Brien

Steven T. O'Brien, 70, of New Hudson, Michigan passed away on Friday, October 14, 2022.
Steven was born in Dearborn, Michigan on December 10, 1951 to the late Thomas and Colleen O'Brien. After growing up in Dearborn, he also spent time in New Hudson and Highland, Michigan. After he proudly served as a Sergeant in the United States Army, he had a zest for life and was a free spirit who led a full life, always on the go.
A mechanic by trade, Steven also spent time working as a social worker. But his work never defined him. He was strong-willed, stubborn, but funny, and loved his family. His zest for life came out in his exploration in crystal mining, having always loved archeology and geology. He also enjoyed metal detecting, collecting arrowheads, old coins, and anything else that caught his eye. Steven always had a love of the mountains, fishing, camping, and rock n' roll music, especially, Cream and Iggy Pop. He always enjoyed times spent with his girls listening to music, watching horror movies, or his favorite, old kung fu movies. He will be greatly missed.
Loving father of Tricia Walton (the late Brian), Stephany O'Brien (Tony DiAngelo), and the late Lynnay O'Brien. Proud grandfather of Jasmine Walton, Brian Walton, Ivy DiAngelo, and the late Stephin Seanz-O'Brien. Brother of the late Patrick O'Brien. Also survived by many family members of his late longtime companion, Patricia Winn.
A cemetery service will be held at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan with United States Army military honors.
