Steven Lynn Otto, 74, passed away July 6, 2025, at his home in Dover, Delaware. He was born July 4, 1951, in Hagerstown, Maryland, to Frederick and Janet Reeder Otto.

He graduated from South Hagerstown High School in 1969 and Bethany College in 1973. He grew up near Boonsboro, Maryland, then later lived in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, Fairfax, Virginia, Seagirt, New Jersey, and Dover, Delaware.

Steve was active in high school with Student Council, theater, soccer, and the Drum Major in his Junior and Senior years. In college, he played soccer and was part of the Kappa Alpha Order fraternity. After graduating from college with a degree in Communications, Steve traveled to Europe for adventure and worked for a cement company while there. He modeled, worked in radio, and was a character in a children's album in Florida. He later came up to Fairfax, Virginia, to live and began his career in Bartending in the DC area for approximately 40 years. Life redirected him to New Jersey, and after a few years, he moved to Dover, Delaware, where he continued his Bartending career at Dover Downs.

Steve's interests were horses, theater, and the Civil War, and he was an avid Washington Redskins fan. He was a very social, friendly man who would help everyone. He always had a story to tell and loved to talk about just about anything. He also became a Master Scuba Diver and enjoyed time in the Caribbean.

Steve was predeceased by his parents and his dear cat, Waylon.

He is survived by his sister, Janine Otto Nichols; his nephew, Kirk Steven Nichols; his niece, Keeley Marie Nichols; many cousins; and his beloved cat, Willie.

A private burial and service will be held later.
