Steven D. Palmer, 59, of Oakdale passed away Friday September 26, 2025 at Hartford Hospital surrounded by the love of family after losing his year long battle with cancer.

He was born January 1, 1966 to David C and Wanda (Urh) Palmer in Philadelphia, PA to whom he was pre-deceased by.

He is survived by his son Garrod Steet-Palmer wife Brandy, daughter in law Evanna Rogers grandchildren Sevanna and Gabriel Palmer, step-grandchildren Collin, Hannaleigh, Jeffrey and Kairi Kellet, sister Carol, brother Glenn, sister Joann (Horton), nieces/nephews Ashley Palmer (children Logan Palmer, Layla Cuff), David Palmer (daughter Aleighna Palmer) Kayla Palmer-Nobleza (son Isaias Cruz), Jason Horton Jr. wife Stella (son Jayden Horton), Trent Chabot-Palmer.

Steve was a loving son, father, brother and uncle who would do anything for you from flying across the country to drive his sons truck to the east coast, trapsing through the woods Christmas Eve to get a tree for his sister and changing tires for his niece. His love and dedication for his family and friends was shown by his actions, he would drop everything at a drop of a hat if you needed him and go above and beyond for you. He was an avid Bears fan and loved "B" movies. If he considered you family or friend you were very lucky as he kept his circle small.

A celebration of life will be held November 8th starting at 1 PM at Oakdale Fire Dept 444 Chapel Hill Rd Oakdale.

Steve hated having his picture taken so if you have any pictures please share them and any memories you have of him as we would love see them.
