Mr. Steven Isham Porter, age 76 of Crawfordville, passed away on Tuesday, October 14, 2025. Mr. Porter was born in Tallahassee to the late Woodrow and Albertice Martin Porter and lived the majority of his life in Wakulla County. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting but spent most of his time on a boat as a longtime commercial fisherman who loved fishing Apalachee Bay waters. He was happiest when spending time with his family and was known to have a talent for singing, which he thoroughly loved to do. Mr. Porter was a United States Army Veteran and was proud to have served.
He is survived by his sons: Steven Porter and Anthony Ray Logan and his siblings: Albert Porter and Nancy Hamilton. A host of grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive.
He was preceded in death by his brothers: Arko Porter and Woodrow “Pap” Porter and sisters: Bertie Mae Hancock and Ettie Ruth Greene.
His family will celebrate his life at a later date.
