Barbra Jo Boettger, beloved mother and grandmother, passed from this life on Sunday, October 5, 2025 at the age of 58.Barbra was born in Williamsport, Pennsylvania on October 16, 1966 to Mr. George and Gloria (Ruth) Boettger. She attended the University of North Florida where she received her bachelor’s degree and then pursued a career in education. Barbra taught for more than twenty years, most recently at Legacy Elementary. She was dedicated to her school and the learning experience of her students.
Outside the classroom, Barbra was a beloved mother and “gamma”. She loved spending time with her grandkids, going to ball games and attending other activities. She loved traveling and cruising with her family. In her free time, she enjoyed scrapbooking and other crafts. Barbra also was a skilled baker and cook, and everyone loved her famous chocolate chip cookies.
Barbra leaves behind her children, Hannah (Daniel) Bryan of Macclenny, Joshua (Kailee) Trippett and Jonathan (Krista) Trippett both of Glen St. Mary; grandchildren, Nolan Bryan, Jaylee Trippett, Sawyer Bryan, Obed Trippett, Kinsley Trippett, Amos Trippett, and Baby Bryan to be expected; her parents, George and Gloria Boettger of Safety Harbor; her longtime companion, John Trippett of Macclenny; sisters, Brenda (Riley) Taylor of Hernando Beach, Melinda (Will) Billbay of Oklahoma, Melissa (Lucus) Burnell of Pennsylvania, and Alexandria (Argyrios) Tzilinis of Naples; as well as a host of extended family members and friends.
Funeral services to honor Barbra’s life will be held on Monday, October 13, 2025 at First Baptist Church of Macclenny at 4:00 PM with Dr. John Shultz officiating. The family will be receiving friends at the church beginning at 3:00 PM. Interment will follow at Macedonia Cemetery.
The staff of Guerry Forbes Funeral Home is honored to serve the Boettger/Trippett family during their time of loss.
