Teresa Elaine Leonard

Leonard – Teresa Elaine Leonard, age 59, of Jacksonville, Florida passed away on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at Baptist Medical Center Downtown in Jacksonville. She was born in Jacksonville on March 20, 1966, to the late J.W. Jones and Betty Crews. Teresa was raised in Baker County and attended Baker County High School. After school, she began a successful career in warehousing. She served as a Supervisor at Publix and later worked at the Walmart Distribution Center. In 2017, Teresa and her fiancé, Wayne Land, opened T.W.L. Demolition, LLC, a company dedicated to land clearing, tree maintenance, and demolition. She took great pride in building a business alongside her partner. Teresa's greatest joy was being with her family. She treasured her role as mother and grandmother, and her grandchildren were the light of her life. She also had a deep love for the beach, enjoying the sun, sand, and peacefulness of the breeze and waves. More than anything, Teresa adored precious moments with family and friends and loved making everlasting memories. She was preceded in death by her parents, J.W. Jones and Betty Yarbrough; brother, Doodle Jones; and granddaughter, Jenny Leonard.

Teresa is survived by her children, Jeffery (Christina) Leonard, Sr. and Jeremy Leonard both of Jacksonville, FL, Jason (Amanda) Leonard of Glen St. Mary, FL and Zoey Land of Jacksonville, FL; fiancé, Wayne Land of Jacksonville, FL; brother, Doug (Lori) Jones of Macclenny, FL; sister, Vanessa (Kenneth) Roberts of Glen St. Mary, FL; grandchildren, Jayleigh, Jenna, Hayden, Jayden, and Jeffery, Jr.; along with several extended family and friends.

A Celebration of Teresa's Life will be held on Friday, October 10, 2025, at 11:00 am at Mt. Zion Church with Rev. Peter Copeland officiating. Interment will follow at Macedonia Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 9, 2025, from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at V. Todd Ferreira Funeral Services Chapel. Arrangements are under the care and direction of V.
