Sylvia Ann Mason, a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed peacefully into the arms of her Savior on Friday, September 26, 2025, at the age of 74. She was born on December 18, 1950, and was a lifelong resident of Maxville, Florida.

Sylvia's life was marked by unwavering faith, deep love for her family, and a heart devoted to serving others. Known for always placing the needs of those around her before her own, she exemplified selflessness and grace. When her health allowed, she found joy in gathering with her church family, where her strong and distinct alto voice rang out from the choir loft. Her vibrant singing filled the sanctuary with both power and tenderness, leaving an imprint on all who worshiped alongside her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Gladys Lanthripp and William B. Copeland; her husband, Lewis "Wade" Mason Sr.; and her grandson, Jeremiah Walker.

Sylvia leaves behind a legacy of love through her children: Louie (Tami) Mason, Sheila (Anthony) Walker, and Shelton (Misty) Mason. She was a proud grandmother to Kirsten (Taylor) Beal, Haley (Colton) Padgett, Jordan Walker, Destynee Mason, Ashleigh Mason, Joseph Walker, Stevie Ray Mason, and Shelton Mason Jr. Her joy multiplied with her great-grandchildren: Gunner, River, and Hunter Padgett, and Wrenleigh Maisyn Beal.

Her family and friends will remember her for her servant's heart, her devotion to her faith, and her ability to make every person feel valued and loved. Though her voice will no longer rise in song, the memory of her melodies and her enduring love will echo in the hearts of all who knew her.

This tribute was lovingly prepared by Sylvia Mason's family.

Sylvia's family will celebrate her life on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at the First Baptist Church of Maxville Fellowship Hall at 12:00 pm. Family and friends are invited to cherish her memory over a meal. Arrangements are under the care and direction of V. Todd Ferreira Funeral Services, 250 North Lowder Street, Macclenny, FL 32063 (904) 259-5700. Visit www.ferreirafuneralservices.com to sign the family's guest book.
