Bryan Taylor Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Ferreira Funeral Services (Macclenny) on Sep. 23, 2025.
Taylor - Bryan M. "Gator" Taylor, age 67, of Taylor, Florida passed away on September 23, 2025, at W. Frank Wells Nursing Home after a battle with cancer. He was born in Lake City, Florida on May 3, 1958, to his loving parents, Coy M. Taylor and Doris Cowart Taylor. Bryan graduated from Baker County High School and stayed in the woods of Baker County as much as he possibly could. Bryan resided in Taylor the majority of his life and thoroughly enjoyed hunting and fishing with his best buddies, much to the chagrin of his wife(s)! He was never one to miss the opening day of hunting season and was known to quit work just to be out in the woods. Bryan loved the woods so much he would have lived at Taylor Hunt Camp if possible. He also enjoyed the occasional trips to Colorado for hunting, too. Bryan was preceded in death his parents and brother, Leo Taylor.

Bryan leaves behind a son, Anthony (Candice) Taylor; 2 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren, all of Pearson, GA; a daughter, Brittany Taylor along with two grandchildren of Macclenny. Also mourning his passing are his sisters, Melaine (Kris Harris) Taylor and Shirley Wright. Bryan had many wonderful friends, and 4 absolutely lovely wives. And he managed to stay friends with them, as he was away most of the time in the forest and rivers.

The family wants to thank everyone at W. Frank Wells Nursing Home for all their care and compassion. We know Bryan was a force to be reckoned with. Another special thank you to his best friend Tony Griffis, who stayed by his side through thick and thin, and during all his illness, we know Bryan will be fishing with you in spirit from here on.

Bryan's family lovingly prepared this tribute.

A Celebration of Bryan's Life will be held on Friday, September 26, 2025, at 2:00 pm at Taylor Church with Pastor Eddie Griffis officiating. Interment will follow at Taylor Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday an hour prior to the service at the church. Arrangements are under the care and direction of V. Todd Ferreira Funeral Services, 250 North Lowder Street, Macclenny, FL 32063 (904) 259-5700. Visit www.ferreirafuneralservices.com to sign the family's guest book.
