Steven “Steve” P. Pointer, age 62 of Linn, passed away on Monday, November 29, 2021, at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.
Steve was born March 17, 1959, in Jefferson City, a son to the late Norman and Mary Ruth “Cookie” (Voss) Pointer.
Steve attended school in Linn.
Steve was employed as a sprinkler fitter in St. Louis. He was a member of Sprinkler Fitters Union Local #669.
He enjoyed watching the St. Louis Cardinals and Kansas City Chiefs, NASCAR, bar-b-ques, family get togethers and spending time with his grandchildren.
Steve is survived by: two sons, Dylan Pointer of Linn and Kyle Miller and his wife Chelsie of Linn; two daughters, Sara Threadgill and her husband Chad of Houston, TX and Brittany Meade and her husband Austin of Linn; three brothers, Bernard “Duke” Pointer and his wife Marsha of Ayers, MA, Tim Pointer and his wife Carolyn of Linn and Gary Pointer of Linn; two sisters, Jeri Kemp and her husband Kenny of Linn and Lori Iven and her husband J.P. of Linn; eight grandchildren, Peyton, Macyn, Jade, Dean, Avery, Jude, Lillian and Jax; as well as many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Norma Lee Helmig; one brother, Terry Pointer; a nephew, Taylor Pointer; and a great niece, Jovie Maasen.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, December 3, 2021, at Morton Chapel in Linn.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on December 4, 2021, at Morton Chapel in Linn. Interment will be in the Community of Christ Cemetery in Linn.
Expressions of Sympathy may be made to the Pointer Family.
