Steven J. Subik

Steven J. Subik, age 70, of Johnstown, NY, passed away on Saturday, June 8, 2024, in Cleveland, OH, with his wife Deborah and family by his side.
Born on March 17, 1954, in Amsterdam, NY, he was the son of the late John Jr. and Sonia (Pierson) Subik.
A self-employed dairy farmer, Steven poured his heart and soul into Oakridge View, his farm in Johnstown, NY. Steven's passions reached beyond the fields of his farm. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. A gifted cook, he also found great joy in preparing meals that would bring his family together around the table, as his family was the most important part of his life.
Steven was a man whose life was characterized by love, humor, and an unwavering dedication to his family. On May 15, 1976, he embarked on a lifelong adventure with his wife of 48 years of marriage, Deborah (Stock) Subik, who survives.
In addition to his wife, Steven is survived by his son, Steven Jr. (Kristy); daughters, Julie Oare (Chris), Melissa Potter (Owen), and Kristin Subik (Jesse); grandchildren, Avery Oare; Jase and Kamden Subik; and Grant, Anna, Grace, and Landon Potter, who will forever cherish memories of their grandfather's love and laughter; as well as 4 brothers and 5 sisters.
A funeral service will be celebrated on Friday, June 14, 2024, at 4:00 PM at the A.G. Cole Funeral Home Inc., 215 E. Main Street, Johnstown, NY.
Calling hours for family and friends will be held prior to the service at the funeral home from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM.
