Robert M. Subik

Robert M. Subik, a respected attorney and cherished community member, passed away peacefully on March 16, 2024, in Albany, NY, at the age of 70.
Born on June 21, 1953, in Amsterdam, NY, he was the son of the late Robert and Doris (Baird) Subik.
Robert is survived by a loving family: his sons; Jason, Jared (Melle), Kyle, Garrett, and daughter, Caitlin Subik (Sean O'Brien); grandchildren, Charlotte, Tessa, and Lochlan; The mother of his children, Cathy, his brother, James and SIL Thelma Subik.
In addition to his parents, Robert was predeceased by his brother William Subik.
After earning his bachelor's degree at Siena College, he further dedicated himself to the pursuit of knowledge and justice by obtaining his Juris Doctorate from Albany Law School. This prepared him for a rewarding career as an attorney at Robert M. Subik Attorney of Law in Johnstown, NY. A man of faith, Robert was an active member of the Holy Trinity Church in Johnstown, NY. His engagement extended into the local community as a member of the Johnstown Historical Society, where he shared his passion for preserving local heritage.
Calling hours for family and friends will be held on Friday, March 22, 2024, from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the Barter and Donnan Funeral Home Inc., 1 N. Melcher Street, Johnstown, NY.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, March 23, 2024, at 10:00 AM at the Holy Trinity Church, 205 Glebe Street, Johnstown, NY.
Interment will be in the spring at St. Anthony's Cemetery. Johnstown, NY.
