Steven Townsend passed away unexpectedly on Friday, February 7, 2025. He leaves behind a grieving family, Father Terry Townsend, son Caleb Wolfe Townsend, brother Jonathan Townsend, sister-in-law Ashley Townsend, nieces Eden Townsend and Emberly Townsend, nephews Jaxson Townsend and Jesse Geraci, his friend Michele Smith, and many friends and work associates he made in the Spencer community where he lived his entire life.
He attended Owen Valley Community High School. He had been employed as a custodian at Frantz Building Services of Spencer at Boston Scientific in Spencer. Steven loved his son Caleb Wolfe Townsend of Bowling Green with all his heart and soul. Steven was known to be kind to his neighbors and friends when they needed food, clothing, small amounts of money and the like. He loved walking. You might have seen him walking around in Spencer. His favorite drink was Mountain Dew. He also especially loved the chili cheese dogs at Dairy Queen.
He will be laid to rest beside his Mother, Debra S Townsend at the Mount Zion Cemetery in Clay County. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to the Hamilton Center in Terre Haute Indiana.
West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
Online condolences may be made to the family at westparrishpedigo.com
