Steven Michael Vaughn

Steven Michael Vaughn, age 66, of Mustang, Oklahoma, passed away on Wednesday, October 29, 2025. He was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, on May 30, 1959, to loving parents, Willis Miles and Lois Lillian Vaughn. He lived in Oklahoma throughout his childhood and teenage years.
After high school, Steven attended the University of Central Florida in 1981 receiving an Associates of Arts Degree. In 1985, he graduated from Oklahoma University receiving his bachelor's in business administration and began working for the Oklahoma State Tax Commission. In 2001, he met the "Love of his Life", Nancy Clark, and they married in 2003. He retired in 2019.
He was a loving, kind and caring son, husband, brother, uncle and was loved by many. He enjoyed spending time with loved ones, singing, traveling, listening to Southern Gospel Music, worshiping at Empowered Church, was an avid reader and participated in community service. In his younger years, he played the keyboard, the saxophone and violin. Although a longtime Coca Cola memorabilia collector, his daily drink of choice was Diet Dr Pepper. He is fondly remembered by those who knew him as intelligent, well-informed about current events, a biblical scholar with a great heart who will be greatly missed by all.
Steven is preceded in death by his parents, grandparents and three sisters. He is survived by his wife, Nancy and son, Andrew Bohannon and daughter in law, Krystal, grandchildren, Kylee, Kelcee, Linken. Bricen and great grandson, Kyler; sister Dena Clowe and niece Camey Clowe and husband Brian Rowland, great nieces Piper and Sage Barrett. Other nieces and nephews, Kenneth Bellew and wife Becky, great niece Jennifer Bellew and great nephew, Seth Bellew. As well as niece/nephew Garrett and Grayson Cook and other loved ones and friends.
Public Visitation will take place on Sunday, November 2nd, 2025 from 2-7pm at McNeil's Funeral Service.
Funeral Service is being held on Monday, November 3rd, 2025, at 2pm at Empowered Church in Mustang, OK. Burial at Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Wheatland, OK.
