Steven Mark Walsh, 64, of Arvada, Colorado died peacefully at home on September 8, 2025.

He was born in Mason City, Iowa on October 29, 1960, to Dan and Evelyn Walsh whom he loved dearly. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandparents, Dan and Stella Walsh, fishing and loving all their many pets. Steve attended Mason City High School, where he played on the football and basketball teams, before studying Construction Management at the University of Northern Iowa and moving to Colorado in 1981 to begin working.

Steve met the love of his life, Lisa, in 1993 at the Stampede in Aurora, Colorado when she asked him to dance. They went to the National Western Stock Show on their first date and were inseparable from that point on. Excited to start their new lives together, the two were married on June 11, 1994, in Denver, Colorado.

Steve and Lisa's children mean the world to them and their lives centered around them. Sarah, Alex and Kayla were his pride and joy.

Steve had a soft spot for animals and treated each one like the valuable family member they were. He had his dogs Schaaka Bear and Yukon when he met Lisa and together, they also loved Sitka, Cloud Dance, Spirit and Lacey. He also made the girls' dreams come true with all the horses he gave to them.

Steve was passionate about his career as an Estimator/Project manager at Martin Marietta, working for the company for 13 years. He took great pride in his role and brought success to the company with the many CDOT jobs he won. Prior, he also worked for Asphalt Paving Company and Brannan Sand & Gravel.

Everyone who knew Steve knew how much he loved making memories with his family. He was very involved with his kids throughout the years while they participated in Westernaires, Boy Scouts, 4-H and nearly every sport you can imagine. They enjoyed camping, boating, snowmobiling and skiing together and went on a Walsh Family Fishing Trip in northern Minnesota every summer. More recently he loved taking Lacey to the dog park every day, playing pickle ball with Lisa and shooting sporting clays with his coworkers and Alex.

Steve will always be remembered for his humor, generosity, love for animals and the way he could always relate to and help everyone. His family will always cherish his great advice, his love of gift-giving and making their dreams come true. We couldn't have asked for a better husband and dad and will miss Steve every day. His memory will live on in the hearts of all those who loved him.

Steve was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his wife Lisa, his children Sarah, Alex and Kayla, his brothers Larry and Jim (Anita) Walsh, sister Heidi (Andy) Monroe, In-laws Bob and Mary McCord and many nieces and nephews.

Steve's Celebration of Life will be held October 11, 2025, at the Table Mountain Meeting and Events Center at 12:30 PM in Golden, Colorado.
