Steven S. York

YORK, Steven – of Clio, age 63, died on Thursday, June 12, 2025, at his residence. Honoring his wishes, cremation will take place and there will be a Celebration of Life held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make memorial contributions to the family for future designation.
Steven was born September 23, 1961, in Flint, to Devern and Lois (Crane) York. He attended Clio High School and proudly worked in the automotive industry for much of his life. During his younger years, Steven enjoyed hunting, hiking, music, and going up north to family cabins at Sand Lake and Lake Huron. He was a hardworking man who always kept himself busy – whether he was gardening, tinkering on old cars or gadgets in the garage, or simply offering a helping hand to someone in need. The only thing that rivaled his joy of hard work was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Steven was an incredible father, grandfather, brother, uncle, partner, co-worker and friend who will be greatly missed.
Steven is forever remembered by: Children: Ami York and Joshua (Danielle) York; Beloved Partner of 10 years, Jan Bouchard; Bonus Children: Brian (Alyssa) Bouchard, Kristy (Trevor) Gooslin, and Karley Bouchard; Grandchildren: Abigail Tigner-York, Nowell York, Sophia York, Lincoln York, Talan Wilding, Tatum Gooslin, and Chloe Bouchard; Mother, Lois York; Siblings: Robert (Dina) York, Michael (Tammy) York, and Patricia (Chris) Jones; Mother of his children, Judy Blower; Companion, Spud; Several nieces, nephews, extended family, and wonderful friends. Steven was preceded in death by: Father, Devern York; Best Friends: Jimmy Starr, Tom Berry, and Darren Campbell.
