Stuart Cohen Obituary

Published by Legacy on Jan. 12, 2025.
Stuart Allen Cohen passed away peacefully on January 11, 2025, at the age of 86. Stuart was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend whose warmth and humor touched the lives of everyone who knew him. Stuart always had a sparkle in his eye and a zest for life; he was a true eternal optimist. He had a love of fishing, golf, good scotch, and traveling but his true passion was being around his family. Stuart was preceded in death by his parents, Sylvia and Harry Cohen. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Margie Cohen, with whom he shared a beautiful life together, along with his children, Shari (Ronald) Barry and Amy (David) Cohen. Stuart was also the proud grandfather to Mark (Stefanie) Barry, Jordan Barry (fiancée Jessie Fillare), Jeffrey Cohen, and Grant Cohen, and great-grandfather to Daniel Barry. He is also survived by his brother, Bruce Cohen; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Jimmy and Barbara Malisow, and Patti and Tom Badiner. We would like to extend a special thank you to Stuart's incredible care team, including Jane Schwartzman, Angel Bram, the Park Nicollet Hospice team (Katie and Rebecca), and the NC Little Hospice care team. Funeral service 11:00 am on TUESDAY, January 14th at ADATH JESHURUN CONGREGATION, 10500 Hillside Ln W, Minnetonka, MN 55305. Please send donations to the Jewish Family and Children's Services (JFCS).
