Surrounded by the love of her family and friends Sue Teresa Anderson, 78, went home to be with the Lord on October 19, 2025, at her home in Eustis, Florida.
Sue was born in Vincentown, New Jersey, and her life's journey took her far and wide - from Rochester, New York, to Zambia, South Africa, and Botswana - always following the path God placed before her. Together with her husband, Dennis, she faithfully served the Lord in the mission field of Africa, building lifelong friendships; embracing them as family and sharing God's love with everyone she met.
Sue was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She is lovingly remembered by her husband Dennis, her sons Scott (Dianne) and Bryan (Jennifer), and her precious grandchildren Taylor, Evan, Elena, and Bryce, who brought her endless joy. She is also survived by her sister Teresa, her brothers Tim and Douglas, her sister-in-law Estrella, and their families, all of whom she held close to her heart.
Sue's love for her family and friends was deep and unwavering, but her greatest love was for the Lord. She had a special gift for making others feel cared for - whether through a kind word, a warm smile, or one of her beautifully handcrafted cards that she so lovingly created for every occasion.
A celebration of Sue's life will be held on Thursday, October 23, with a viewing from 10:00–11:00 a.m. and a service from 11:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. at Liberty Church Tavares, located at 2451 Dora Avenue, Tavares, FL 32778.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Sue's memory to Esophageal Cancer Research at https://www.ecaware.org/give/donate/.
Sue's faith, love, and gentle spirit touched everyone who knew her. Though she will be deeply missed, her legacy of love and devotion will live on in all whose lives she blessed.
