Sue Ann Lineweaver, 77, formerly of Toms Brook, VA left this world peacefully on Thursday, January 9th. She was under the care of Chestertown Nursing in Maryland due to complications from a stroke.
Ms. Lineweaver was born December 26, 1947, in Shenandoah County, daughter of the late John Henry Lineweaver and Ruth Virginia Hottle Lineweaver. As a young woman, she owned and worked with the family's racehorses later retiring from Vlasic in 2012, when the parent company Pinnacle Foods closed its pickle production plant in Millsboro, DE.
She was preceded in death by her five siblings Doris Lineweaver Kibler (Berlin), Bruce Allen Lineweaver Sr. (Shelby), Alvin Monroe Lineweaver (Lorraine), Winston Wesley Lineweaver (Eileen) and Ray Eugene Lineweaver (Barbara Elrod) as well as her niece Debra Ann Laycock and nephews Bruce Allen Lineweaver Jr. and Dennis Lee Lineweaver.
She is survived by nephew Delmar Eugene Lineweaver (Charlotte) of Front Royal and niece Sharon Elaine Showman (Nevin) of Edinburg; nephew Ronald Lee Lineweaver of Kittanning, PA and niece Carolyn Sue Lineweaver of Maurertown; nieces Doris Elaine Lineweaver (Lee Hepner) of Maurertown and Joyce Ellen Lineweaver (Wayne Long) of Camden, De. and nephew John Kibler (Rebecca) of Maurertown, VA in addition to multiple great nieces and nephews.
A private burial will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, January 16, 2025, at Sunset View Memorial Gardens in Woodstock where she will be placed at rest, next to her parents.
