Sue Lovelace Keveryn Stearns

Sue Lovelace Keveryn Stearns, 74, of Lubbock, Texas passed away on November 6, 2022, after a lengthy battle with Multiple Myeloma. She lived a robust life full of fervor and wit. Sue lit up any room she entered with her striking eyes and beautiful smile. Her exuberant personality was always on display, bringing a smile and chuckle to anybody she encountered. Sue's children, Russ and Kelly, adored her and she taught them to love the only way she knew how - fiercely and full of passion. She looked upon her grandchildren with all the love and pride in the world and they felt the exact same way about their "Mimi". Her loving husband, Bob, will forever miss Sue's witty charm and sweet embrace.
Sue was born on December 22, 1947, to William Homer Lovelace and Golda Eldene Fenton Lovelace in Brownwood, Texas. She attended Brownwood High School where she was a cheerleader and then graduated from the University of North Texas. Sue began her career as a speech pathologist with Roosevelt Independent School District. She loved her Ransom Canyon community moving there in 1980, raised her family there and served on the Roosevelt ISD school board. She decided to change careers and became a real estate agent serving Ransom Canyon and Lubbock. She quickly developed a passion for the business, and her drive and infectious personality helped create a loyal following of buyers and sellers. Even at the age of 74 while fighting cancer, Sue would continue to receive a stream of referrals wanting her help with finding their dream home. Her favorite pastime was sitting on the back porch with Bob and her beloved Chihuahuas Tippie and Penny watching the sunsets over the lake.
Sue found love later in life as she reconnected with her 8th grade boyfriend, Bob Stearns. They saw their love story come full circle with a stunning wedding in Telluride, Colorado. Bob could not have been a more loving and devoted husband. Sue's spunky attitude and love of life finally met her perfect match with Bob's easygoing and sweet nature.
Nothing made Sue happier than to spend time with her loving children, Russ Keveryn, Kelly Valentine, and Brian Stearns, and her twelve grandchildren and one great grandchild. Sue taught her children and grandchildren to pursue life with passion, confidence, and a contagious love of others regardless of the circumstances.
Sue was preceded in death by her father William Homer Lovelace, her mother Golda Eldene Fenton Lovelace, her brother William Frank Lovelace and her stepson Richard Lynn Stearns. She is survived by her husband Bobby Ray Stearns, son and daughter-in-law Russ and Sean Keveryn and their children Zach, Makenna and Halle, daughter and son-in-law Kelly and Matt Valentine and their children Mason, Madelyn, Collin and Reid, stepson and daughter-in-law Brian and Renae Stearns and their children Brianna, Nolan and Nate, great granddaughter Mya, daughter-in-law Michelle Stearns and her children Jason and Cody.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2022, at 10:00 am at Lake Ridge Chapel (6025 82nd Street, Lubbock, TX 79424). There will be a reception following the service.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, November 13, 2022, from 4:00-6:00 pm at Heartland Funeral Home (303 Early Blvd., Early, TX 76802).
A burial service will be held on Monday, November 14, 2022, at 10:00 am at Greenleaf Cemetery (2615 US-377, Brownwood, TX 76801).
