Sue Anne Martin, of Providence Forge, VA, went home to be with the Lord on August 11, 2025. The oldest of six siblings, Sue Anne had an unconditional love for family and friends. She loved animals and the outdoors, whether she was tending to her garden, bailing hay, or riding horses. She retired from James City County after many years of service. Sue Anne is preceded in death by her sister, Mary Minor. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Malcolm; her daughter, Denise; her foster son, Tony; her siblings, Betty Lou, Jimmy, Chris and Dee; her grandchildren, Timothy, Devin, Nicki, and Betsy; and her great-grandchildren, Adam, Ethan, William, Braden, Krysten, and Hope. Per her request, a graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, August 23, 2025, at the Hockaday Family Cemetery, on Carriage Road off of Route 60. Comfortable attire is welcome. A reception for friends, family, and refreshments will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Christ Community Church, 9001 Richmond Rd, Toano, VA 23168, for the kitchen fund.
