Sue Neal, age 82 years, 1 month, and 14 days, of Stearns, Kentucky, widow of Gavin Neal, passed away Thursday, August 7, 2025 at her home and was placed in the care of the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home.
Funeral services were held Monday, August 11, 2025, in the chapel of the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home. Burial followed in the Neal Family Cemetery.
She was born June 24, 1943, in London, Kentucky to Thomas Mcleod and Zellar Perry McLeod. Sue enjoyed spending time outdoors, flowers and coloring. She had a deep love for her cats and was a lifelong admirer of Elvis Presley.
Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, Gavin Neal, daughters, Rhonda Neal and Debbie East, sister, Vera, brother, Tom McLeod, granddaughter, Sabra Troxell, nephews, Richard and David Dunnagan, and fur baby, Rosie.
Survivors include sons, Randy Neal, Nicky Neal, Carson Neal, and wife, Ruthie Neal, and Willie East, daughter, Francina Bishop, and husband, Bobby, sister, Shirley Dunagan, 20 grandchildren, three of whom she raised as her own, Fiona Deyne, Gwen Sparks and Leeann Sparks, several great grandchildren and niece, Trisha Dunnagan, grandchildren, Darren Neal, Thomas East, and Edward Strunk.
The family would also like to thank Brenda Smith for the excellent care she provided.
