Sue Willis Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Lohman Funeral Home Daytona on May 28, 2024.
Sue McCaskill Willis
Sue McCaskill Willis was born on August 14, 1933 to Jim and Hazie McCaskill in Boston, Georgia. August 1, 1955, Sue married Thomas Joseph Willis and moved to Daytona Beach, Florida. Sue and Thomas were married for 58 years. (until his demise)
After relocating to Daytona Beach, Sue joined Mt. Bethel Baptist Institutional Church where she remained a loyal and faithful member.
In Matrimony Sue and Thomas welcomed Daughters, Margaret Gwendolyn "Gwen" and Kimberly Willis-Barnes (Phil). Johnathan Thomas McCaskill joined the family in 1980 and became a "Beloved Son" to Sue and Thomas.
Sue's proudest family moments were in 2003 when she and Thomas became grandparents to Algermany Joseph Barnes (AJ), soon followed by his sister, Kimora Philicia Barnes in 2006. Sue was a "Proud" Grandmother and "Loved" her Grandchildren dearly.
"Ms. Sue", as she was fondly called, retired from Turie T. Small Elementary School where she was employed for over 40 years. For those who knew Sue, they knew her favorite interest was cooking, collecting recipes and entertaining.
Sue was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband Thomas, Four Sisters, and Nine Brothers. She leaves behind to grieve, Sisters: Sylvia Hampton and Connie Barrs; Daughters; Son; Grandchildren; Son-in-law; Godsons; Many Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Friends.
Special Thanks to her Nephew Pierre Louis; Adopted Nephews Dana Hamilton, Greg Dew, Tony Servance; Larry Sanders and Daughter Gwen who were all faithful caregivers. In Addition, Thanks to Dr. Douglas Denison, A "Dear Friend and concerned Caregiver". We Also send a heartfelt thanks to the staff of the Fresenious Kidney Care. You all have been instrumental in our lives and will always be remembered by the Family.
See below for Service details.
Condolences may be shared here on our online guestbook (at www.lohmanfuneralhomes.com).
