Susan Finn Alpert

Susan Finn Alpert, born Miriam Estelle Finn, 79, passed peacefully on Monday, November 21, 2022. Though tragedy struck early in life, Susie's mother, brother, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends, whom she kept close her whole life, cherished and nourished her indomitable spirit. Always warm, always curious-she was magnetic. A top student and a cheerleader at Hightstown High School, she went on to the University of Pennsylvania. Upon graduation with an R.N., she was accepted into their medical school. She was a memoirist, a scuba diver, a golfer, who made not one, but two holes in one; a sailor, who could navigate by the stars, a fitness enthusiast, and a fantastic cook. She was proud of her nursing career that spanned more than fifty years. Her patients mattered. Her work was important. She worked to provide for her children-and she loved them endlessly. Finally and forever, hers, the sweetest soul, met its match, the love of her life-a best friend and dance partner, who adored her to no end. Susan Finn Alpert found eternal peace in the arms of her husband and children, in the happy home she always wanted. She was beloved and cherished. Her memory is our blessing.
