Susan Banks Obituary
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our mother Susan G. Banks, 83, of Akron and Naples Florida. Susan passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday October 5, 2025. She was surrounded by close family and her longtime caregiver, Chandra. Susan was preceded in death by her loving and devoted husband of 60 years, David F. Banks, Sr.
Susan is survived by her son David Banks Jr., her daughter Catherine (Lincoln) Scott, and her five beloved grandsons, Michael, Jonathan, Connor, Preston, and Charles; brother David (Bev) Goodwillie; sisters Sally (Ed) Lee, Margy Cowgill, Ellen (Keith) Karakul; and many nieces and nephews.
Susan loved everything antique, she enjoyed spending her time researching, collecting and reading about antiques of all kinds. Decorating was a favorite hobby. Susan loved animals and had many beloved pets throughout her life. She was involved in many worthy causes throughout Ohio and Florida.
In accordance with Susan's wishes, a private family burial was held at Rose Hill Cemetery. Susan is buried beside her loving husband, to rest in eternal peace.
