Susan Marie Barnes, 56, of Elk City, Oklahoma was born on November 4, 1966, Elk City, Oklahoma to Lonnie Dale and Velma Jean (Spears) Lowry. She went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, April 10, 2023 at Great Plains Regional Medical Center in Elk City, Oklahoma surrounded by her loving family.
Susan grew up in Sayre, Oklahoma and attended Sayre Public Schools.
She married Monte Barnes, Sr. on June 1, 1984, in Wheeler, Texas and to this union five children were born, Monte Otis Barnes, Jr., Bradley Dale Barnes, Katelin Marie Barnes, Sidney Kyle Barnes, and Audrey Jeanann Barnes. Susan met Darrell "Redd" King in 1998 and they began to blend their families lives together.
Susan loved her grandchildren with all her heart and hanging out with her family and friends. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, shopping on Amazon and watching Nature TV. Susan will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m., Friday, April 14, 2023, at Martin~Dugger Funeral Home Chapel, Elk City, Oklahoma. Rev. Mario Jaquez will officiate. Interment will be at Sayre-Doxey Cemetery, Sayre, Oklahoma. Services have been entrusted to the care of Richard and Tammy Dugger and the staff of Martin-Dugger Funeral Home in Elk City, Oklahoma.
Susan is survived by her loving husband, Darrell "Redd" King of Elk City, Oklahoma; three sons, Monte Otis Barnes, Jr. of Elk City, Oklahoma, Bradley Dale Barnes and his wife Sean Brown of Elk City, Oklahoma, and Sidney Kyle Barnes of Weatherford, Oklahoma; five daughters, Katelin Marie Barnes and her husband Jesse Williams, Audrey Jeanann Barnes and her partner Cristal Jaquez all of Burns Flat, Oklahoma, Valerie Yvonne King of Sayre, Oklahoma, Oliva Gracie King and her husband Craig Biby, of Elkins, Arkansas, Nevaeh Barnes of Elk City, Oklahoma; twenty grandchildren, Levi Teehee of Elk City, Oklahoma, Leanda Teehee, Landon Flowers, Tristyn Barnes all of Sayre, Oklahoma, Fletcher Cox of Brandon, Mississippi, Aubree Musick of Elk City, Oklahoma, Kayliegh Barnes of Elk City, Oklahoma, Avri Williams, Jace Williams, Jakobe Williams, all of Burns Flat, Oklahoma, Ryan Nelson of Grove, Oklahoma, Trista Nelson of Elkins, Arkansas, Roxie King of Weatherford, Oklahoma, Andy Roberts of McAlester, Oklahoma, Greyson Biby, Jaxton Biby both of of Elkins, Arkansas, Aliyah Winston of Burns Flat, Oklahoma, Siir Jr. Winston, Prince Winston, both of Burns Flat, Oklahoma; one great grandchild, Evelynn Teehee of Elk City, Oklahoma; three brothers, Jerald Hooks and his wife, Janet of Cordell, Oklahoma, Jim Hooks of Luther, Oklahoma, Lonnie Lowry, Jr. of Pensacola, Florida; three sisters, Clara Rodgers of Luther, Oklahoma, Misty Hoots and her husband, Gerry of Elk City, Oklahoma, Debbie Harper and her husband Ronnie of Mustang, Oklahoma; numerous friends and a host of extended family.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Lonnie Dale and Velma Jean (Spears) Lowry; her mother, Patricia Lowry one daughter, Brittany Monet King, one sister, Audrey Jones.
Memorials can be made to the charity of choice in care of Martin-Dugger Funeral Home, P.O. Box 707, Elk City, Oklahoma 73648.
