Susan Kay Biehler

Susan Kay (Hollister) Biehler, 79, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at her home surrounded by family.
Susan was born in Independence, Missouri on June 25, 1944. She worked for AMR for 15 years as a medical coordinator, teaching CPR and working at the Red Cross. She volunteered her time at the McCutchanville Fire Department as a Medical Officer for 25 years. Susan was a faithful member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church and the Evansville Lapidary Society. She enjoyed sewing and crafting. Susan loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She also adored the times spent with her husband, John at their cabin in Kuttawa, Kentucky.
Susan is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, John E. Biehler of Evansville, IN; daughters, Terrie Ledcke (Kevin) of Evansville, IN and Ellen Beuligmann (Brian) of Poseyville, IN, son, Andrew Biehler (Megan) of Elberfeld, IN; half sister, Julie VadeBoncoeur (Harold) of Bourbonnais, IL, step sister, Susan Lynn Matherne of Ohio, half brothers, Kenneth Wood (Julia) of Kankakee, IL and David Wood (Sue) of Lake Zurick, IL; grandchildren, Cass Ryan Ledcke (Kiersten), Peyton Marie Olin (Nate), John Samuel Biehler, Jacqueline Marie Biehler, Gwyn Kay Beuligmann, Evan Joseph Beuligmann, Brooke Ann Beuligmann and Alex John Beuligmann; great grandchildren, Nora Rose Ledcke, Nyla Marie Ledcke and Jett Palmer Olin.
Susan was preceded in death by her mother, Maxine (Lindquist) Wood; her father, George Wayne Hollister; the father who raised her, Howard Wood; and by her step brother, Fred Wood.
A Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 5301 Daylight Dr., Evansville, IN 47725 with Father Chris Forler celebrating where a Rosary will be held prior to the service at 9:45 am. Burial will follow at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Cemetery.
Friends may visit from 2:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Monday, November 27, 2023 at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave., Evansville, IN 47711 and again from 9:00 am until 9:45 am on Tuesday at the church.
