Susan (Sue) D'Anne Bready (Sanborn), 67 years old of Gray Court, South Carolina rose to Heaven on September 4th, 2023 at 9:29pm after a long and hard battle with cancer that she faced with amazing strength and courage. Never did Sue allow the cancer to take away her spirit and determination. She was a true role model of strength and courage.
Susan was born December 11, 1955 on Staten Island, New York to Jeanne LaRue Sanborn and Harry Franklin Sanborn. Sue and her family spent her childhood traveling the world as part of the Coast Guard Family. On March 20, 1993 Sue married her love, Ted William Bready in Naples Florida. Together they enjoyed traveling the world and were actively involved in the Gull Wing Group International. They were grateful to share in their 30th wedding anniversary earlier this year.
Sue enjoyed reading, sewing, quilting and machine embroidery. Sue had a knack for making a quilt and finding the perfect recipient for it. Her quilts are true works of art. Sue was a founding member of Little Quilts for Tiny Patients to benefit the NICU unit at Bon Scours Hospital. Sue's greatest friends came to her through the quilting community and supported her greatly, especially during challenging times. Sue was active in Kiwanis Clubs of Northside Naples in Florida and Greenville South Carolina serving as President at both locations. She was a member of the Green Pond United Methodist Church in Gray Court, South Carolina.
