Susan E. (Braudis) Callahan, of Braintree, formerly of So. Boston, passed away on November 15, 2024, after a long battle with multiple illnesses, at the age of 62. Born on December 11, 1961, in Boston, Susan was the cherished daughter of Paul Braudis of Dorchester and the late Mary Lou (McPartlin) Braudis.
Susan was the beloved wife of the late William "Bill" Callahan Jr., who passed in 2020. Her family finds comfort in knowing they are reunited. Mother to two daughters, Kathleen Henry and her husband Matt of Greencastle, PA, and Meaghan Yon and her husband Charlie of Holliston.
Also survived by her aunts Catherine McPartlin of Dorchester and Margaret McDonough of Braintree, and cousin Jill McDonough Gibson (Chris) of Weymouth. Susan was also sister to Paul Braudis, Jr. of TX. Nana to both Keira Grace Henry and McKenna Faith Henry of Greencastle, PA
Susan's love extended to her many nieces and nephews.
A graduate of Cardinal Cushing High School, Class of 1980, Susan carried the lessons of her youth throughout her life. Susan spent an admirable 42 years as a unit coordinator at Tufts New England Medical Center in Boston, where her dedication and hard work touched the lives of countless individuals (wash your hands!).
Susan's passion for life extended beyond her professional achievements. She was a true cat lover, and her companionship with her late cat, Nikkita, brought her immense joy. Her flower garden was a source of serenity and beauty, a reflection of the care and attention she gave to every living thing.
