Jeanette W. "Jeannie" (Joyce) Flemmi, age 87, passed away peacefully, after a brief illness, on July 23, 2025, in Milton, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on November 1, 1937, in Cambridge, Jeanette was the cherished daughter of the late Albert and Willamina (Jennings) Joyce. She was the beloved wife of Michael Flemmi, with whom she shared a lifetime of love and memories.

Jeanette's warmth and kindness touched everyone she met. She was the loving mother of Donna Flemmi of Braintree, Michael Flemmi of Burlington, VT, John Flemmi and his wife Elena of Braintree, and Stephen Flemmi of Braintree. Her role as Nana was one she cherished deeply, providing endless love and support to her grandchildren A.J., Amanda, Andrew, John Michael, and Nicolas. Jeanette's joy extended to her great-grandchildren, as well as to her many nieces and nephews.

Her siblings, Stephen Sarabia of Quincy, and Kathy Rose of NH, will remember Jeanette as a devoted sister. Her love for her family was as immense as it was unwavering, and she will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Jeanette was predeceased by her beloved dogs, Max and Shultz, who were her loyal companions for many years.

Jeanette was a proud graduate of the Jeremiah E. Burke High School in Boston. She dedicated many years of service as a secretary for United Trucking Company, where she was known for her professionalism and kindness. Her colleagues will remember her gentle spirit and her ability to make everyone feel welcome and valued.

Jeanette's interests reflected the richness of her character. Her favorite color was purple, and she could often be seen wearing it or incorporating it into her home. She enjoyed wintering in Fort Lauderdale, creating a trove of memories in the warm Florida sun. A devout fan of the New England Patriots, Jeanette could always be found cheering on her team with enthusiasm and pride. Her love for animals was profound, and she was an avid supporter of animal welfare initiatives.

Camping was one of Jeanette's favorite pastimes, a tradition that allowed her to be close to nature and spend quality time with her loved ones. She was a fixture at her grandchildren's various activities, from Little League to Lacrosse, always there to offer her support and encouragement. Spending time with family and friends was Jeanette's greatest joy, and those moments will be treasured by all who were fortunate to share them with her.

Jeanette's life was a testament to love, kindness, and gentleness. These words best describe her essence and the legacy she leaves behind. Her presence will be deeply missed, but the impact of her love will continue to resonate within the hearts of her family and friends.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Tuesday, July 29th, from 4:00 – 8:00 PM, in the Cartwright-Venuti Funeral Home, 845 Washington St., Braintree. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, July 30th, at 10:00 AM in the Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Milton Cemetery.
