Susan Ann (Geist) Carrier, age 70, of DuBois, PA, formerly of Brookville, PA passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at the DuBois Nursing Home in DuBois, PA. She was born on February 4, 1954, in Ridgway, PA, to the late Kenneth Ardelle and Ruth E. (Cook) Geist.
Susan attended Brookville High School until graduating with the class of 1972. In 1999, she graduated from Penn State University in State College, PA, with Bachelor of Science degrees in Marketing and Communication Disorders. She worked for Core until her retirement.
Susan enjoyed a variety of hobbies. Over the years, she excelled in calligraphy and created floral arrangements of all kinds. She was particularly fond of birdwatching and enjoyed various puzzle activities. Susan cherished the time spent with her children and grandchildren. Her love encompassed all of them, and they meant the world to her. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Susan is survived by three children; Kenneth W. (Rebecca) Carrier of Brookville, PA, Jennifer A. (Carl) Richter of Brookville, PA, and Stephanie L. Novak of Falls Creek, PA; five grandchildren; Alexis Richter, Alaynna Carrier, Evan Carrier, Emily Richter, Owen Novak; and her beloved cat, Luna.
In addition to her parents, Susan was preceded in death by her brother, Thomas Geist.
At the request of the family, all services will be private and have been entrusted to the Carrier Funeral Home, 2834 Maplevale Rd., Brookville, PA 15825. Memorial donations may be made in memory of Susan to the American Heart Association, 444 Liberty Ave., #1300, Pittsburgh, PA 15222.
Interment will take place at the Ramsaytown (St. Matthews) Lutheran Cemetery, Knox Twp., Jefferson County, PA.
