Susan Bickerstaff Casto, age 73, passed away August 14, 2025. She was born on July 23, 1952 to the late Andrew and Iva (Traichal) Bickerstaff in Warren, Ohio. Sue was a 1970 graduate from Niles McKinley High School. From the time she could remember, nursing was the only thing Sue ever wanted to do. She then obtained her LPN Degree from Hannah E. Mullins School of Practical Nursing and her RN Degree in 1987 from Columbus Technical Institute now known as Columbus State Community College. Sue retired as a Critical Care Nurse (ACCN) from Riverside Methodist Hospital after 34 years of service and loved her time there in the CC Unit and especially her last 17 years in the EP Unit which specializes in treating heart rhythm problems. Sue was loved by all who knew her and will be missed dearly. She was the life of the party, enjoyed live music, and loved her summer trips to the beach.

She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Bill Casto and his children, Cheryl (John) Bone and Greg (Angel) Casto; grandchildren, Benjamin (Perri) Bone, Caleb (Samantha)Bone, Morgan (Greg) McClung, Eli (Collin) Bone; 6 great-grandchildren; brother, Paul (Shirley) Bickerstaff; sister, Mary Ann (Steve Goebel) Bickerstaff; many nieces and nephews of whom she was very fond. She especially cherished her close nieces, Dawn Adgate, Janice Williams, Andrew Bickerstaff, Cassie Goebel, Hannah Goebel and Maddie Goebel. She is also survived by her friend group, The Wild Wild Women, who were a special part of her life.

Friends may call Sunday, August 17 from 2-4 p.m. and Monday, August 18 from 10-11 a.m. at Egan-Ryan Northwest Chapel, 4661 Kenny Road where a Funeral Service to celebrate Susan's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday. A graveside service will take place on Tuesday, August 19 at 1:00 p.m. at Kerrs Cemetery in Mineral Ridge, Ohio.
