Susan Marie (Sandmann) Fetsch, of Muenster, passed away January 11, 2023, at her home surrounded by her daughters.
Susan was born on October 21, 1958, the eldest daughter of Edward and Aileen Sandmann of Lindsay. She graduated from Lindsay High School in 1977. Susan married her fun-loving sweetheart Garry Fetsch on June 24, 1978. Together they farmed and raised three daughters near Muenster. They were faithful members of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and volunteered in various capacities as their daughters were active in the school and church. Since 2004, Susan thoroughly enjoyed her work and friends at First State Bank in Gainesville.
Susan was known as the friendliest, joy of the party. She never met a stranger and had a story to entertain even the most stoic of farmers. She loved her family fiercely; always able to find just the right gift to bring a smile to their faces. She cooked tables full of delicious foods and baked many desserts to satisfy her family's sweet tooth. Susan held her own working hard with Garry on the farm each day. She lived her life loving and being loved.
Mrs. Fetsch was preceded in death by her husband Garry Fetsch, mother Aileen Sandmann, and brothers-in-law Paul Becker and Lee Campbell.
Survivors include daughter Janet and husband Robert Rickman of Muenster, daughter Kelly and husband Christopher Hotovec of Tulsa, Oklahoma, daughter Christine and husband Lee Dawson of Tulsa, Oklahoma; four grandchildren; father Edward Sandmann of Lindsay; sister Brenda Becker of Muenster; sister Carol and husband Curtis Conaway of Lindsay; sister Jacqueline and husband Tracy Ebarb of Lavon. Also brother-in-law Robert Fetsch and wife Lu Benke; sister-in-law Evelyn and husband Kenneth Melvin; sister-in-law Monica and husband Robert Noyes; sister-in-law Joan Campbell; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for 10:00 am on Wednesday, January 18, 2023 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Muenster with Rev. Joe Keating officiating. Interment will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Muenster. A Rosary with visitation will begin at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, January 17, at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home, Gainesville.
Pallbearers are Robert Rickman, Lee Dawson, Joe Becker, Michael Conaway, Kevin Conaway, Nate Hamilton, Lee Ueckert, Patrick Lutkenhaus.
Memorial contributions may be made in her honor to the Muenster Jaycees PO Box 726, Muenster, Texas 76252.
