Susan was born on October 19, 1947, in Winchester VA. Daughter of the late Harry Koon and Elizabeth Viola Gordon. She graduated from James Wood High School.
Susan worked many jobs throughout her life. She was a devout Christian and loved her many cats and dogs, spending time with her grandchildren and arguing with her sister Sharon. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years James Flowers Jr., her son Byron Flowers (Winchester VA), her 2 daughters Amy Flowers (husband Greg) (Richmond, VA) and Emily Flowers, her 7 grandchildren, Cheyanne (husband Tucker), Tyler, Dakota, Kaylynne, Milo, Keefer, Stella and 3 great grandchildren Avery, TJ and Claire.
She was proceeded in death by her sister Sharon Phillips and brother Benny Koon.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Frederick County Esther Boyd Animal Shelter where many of her loving pets were adopted from.
