Susan Turner Haidinger, age 94, passed away on October 12th, 2024 peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family. Born on March 14th, 1930 in Ho-Ho-Kus, New Jersey, Susan lived a healthy life rich in love, kindness, and humor.
An avid exerciser, Susan found great pleasure in walking in the park, where she would enjoy the rose garden and time spent with family. She rode horses, swam, golfed, and practiced yoga late into life.
Her enthusiasm for reading and education opened countless worlds to her. She graduated from Beaver College in Pennsylvania with a history degree before studying education at Columbia University, which enriched her life and provided endless conversations with family and friends.
Susan's greatest joy came from her time spent with family. She was a loving and adventurous mother and grandmother, even traveling on a European cruise with two of her daughters at age 93.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George, and sons, David and Russell. She leaves behind daughters Georgia, Deborah (Robert), Lesley (Dan), Susan (Brian), sons William and Jerry, 12 grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren, who will cherish her memory and continue to honor her legacy of love, resilience, and an appreciation for life's blessings.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Lymphoma Research Foundation https://lymphoma.org or the Brookdale Park Conservancy https://brookdalepark.org/donate.
Susan Haidinger will forever be remembered for her warmth, spirit, humor, and the profound impact she had on the lives of those around her.
Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her.
