Susan Hellams Obituary

A devoted member of Southern Hills Baptist Church since 2003 and served as the president of her Sunday school class. Susan loved getting together with her Sunday School class, friends and family for lunches, birthdays, celebrations or to just visit about life. She adored her dog, Teddy, who brought her companionship and joy every single day. Every week she looked forward to going grocery shopping and preparing food for regular Sunday night family dinner.
With a dedicated career spanning 33 years at Southwestern Bell, Susan's hard work and perseverance left a lasting impact on her co-workers and friends.
She is survived by her children, Stacy Conatser (Craig) and Dustin Hellams (Sheila); her grandchildren, Kody Kerley (Haylee), Courtney Conatser, Camden Hellams, and Chloe Hellams; and her great-grandchild, Kohen. Susan also leaves behind her sister, Sharon Noble (Carroll), her brother, Michael McGuire (Tricia), and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members who loved her dearly.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Evelyn Davis and Richard Irvin McGuire, and her sister, Brenda Wilson (Duane), and her nephew, Allen Noble.
Susan's desire to live for faith, family, and friendships are things she holds dear and hopes they continue through all who knew and loved her.

Stacy/Dustin and family, Your Mom, Grandma and Mother In Law was very special. You already know this but I want you guys to know we ALLLL KNOW IT. She was so kind and thoughtful and I am so thankful I got to spend some time talking to her a month or so ago. She always treated me like family and that is one of the many things that made her Special. I know your hearts are hurting and I am praying for the family. I love you guys.
